Born and raised in Concord, CA to a single parent, I realized I was “different” while in Girl Scouts in the 50’s but didn’t come out until the early 80’s.

When I did come out I was fortunate to have a very loving, understanding, and supportive mother. Her love and support allowed me the freedom to explore and question my “world” and to meet and learn from some extraordinary folx. This led me to co-facilitating a queer youth group for over 3 years at Pacific Center in Walnut Creek in the late 80’s until the tutelage of the great Margaret Walker. The rest is history.

I feel blessed to be able to work with and for the Solano Pride Center. Along with administrative work I also co-facilitate our bi-weekly Senior Zoom meetings.
